From January To MarchThe Order Receiving Index Of Italian Textile Machinery Increased By 66%; Italy; Textile Machinery

According to the data compiled by the association of Italian textile machinery manufacturers (ACIMIT), the order acceptance index of Italian textile machinery increased by 66% from January to March 2021 compared with the same period in 2020 due to the good performance of orders from foreign and domestic markets.

ACIMIT sets the index value for the first quarter of 2021 at 129.3 points (base: 2015 = 100).

Orders from abroad showed 68% growth, with an absolute value of 125.5 points. On the domestic side, the order increase is more diversified, but still significant (54% growth compared with the first quarter of 2020), with an absolute value of 164.1 points. Compared with the results of the first quarter of 2020, production almost stopped after the outbreak began.
